Kinnitty Castle Hotel is located at the foothills of the Slieve Bloom Mountians, which is home to many Eco Walks and Loops. Guides can be organized for groups of walkers.

GOLF
Kinnitty Castle Hotel is within range of five of the top golf courses in the region. There are a number of 9 hole courses that are located within 30 minutes drive from the castle. There are also two flood-lit all-weather driving ranges within 15 miles of Kinnitty. There are 18 hole courses within 20-minutes drive from Kinnitty (Birr, Tullamore, Roscrea), and two 18 hole Championship courses (Glasson and Esker Hills).

TENNIS COURT

Kinnitty Castle Hotel has its own tarmac tennis court on site for all its guests to enjoy.

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
Safety is our prime concern, so tuition for this particular activity is available. The shoot is ideal for a corporate event. Our clay pigeon shoot comprises six ‘sporting’ events and one ‘down the line’. The shoot is fully automated and supervised and all necessary equipment is provided.

Kinnitty Castle Hotel continues this great sporting tradition, which has been associated with the property for over 500 years. It is ideally located in the Slieve Bloom Mountains (only 15 minutes from the castle) where inhabitants include deer, pheasant, duck, snipe and wood pigeon.

FISHING
Fishing facilities are available in close proximity to Kinnitty Castle Hotel. Salmon and trout fishing can be found on the River Shannon, the Brosna River, The Boyne and The Barrow. Brown trout can be found in the Camcor, The Clodagh, Slate and Yellows Rivers.
