Question: What are your minimum and maximum numbers?

Answer: Our Friday and Saturday weddings carry a minimum number of 100, Sunday to Thursday carry no minimum. Our maximum capacity is 200 people.

 

Question: Must I make an appointment to view the Castle?

Answer: Yes, we would recommend that you make an appointment to view the Castle. This can be arranged by emailing our Wedding Team on weddings@kinnittycastlehotel.com

 

Question: Can I make a provisional booking?

Answer: Yes. A provisional booking will allow you 14 days to make your final decision, by which time a signed Contract and first deposit payment would be required to secure the date.

 

Question: How much of a deposit is required to secure a date?

Answer: A deposit of €2,000 is required to guarantee the booking (€750 for an intimate wedding). This is a non-refundable deposit. 80% of the wedding bill must be paid 14 days prior to your wedding date. The remaining 20% must be settled in full before departure.

 

Question: Do you offer any options for pre or post wedding parties?

Answer: Yes we can offer a variety of options which can be tailored to each couples desires.

 

Question: When would you suggest for the menu tasting to take place?

Answer: We would recommend at approximately 6 weeks before the wedding date. However, if there is a date which is only suitable for the couple then we can cater for this.

 

Question: Do you host more than one wedding each day?

Answer: No, only yours!

 

Question: Do you serve arrivals drinks outside if it is nice?

Answer: Absolutely! We have a stunning courtyard and we do like to show it off. What we tend to suggest is that we would keep a close eye on the weather forecast in the preceding days before your big day. We would make the final call on the day but rest assured, if it’s fine we’ll be outside!

 

Question: Is there a cost with holding the ceremony onsite?

Answer: Yes. A Civil Ceremony can only be performed in the Great Hall of the O’Carrolls. This would incur a fee of €500. This would also be the price associated with an outdoor ceremony. Our Drawing Room is also available and would suit a maximum of 60 people. The fee for our Drawing Room is €250. (please note the Drawing Room is not licensed by the HSE) 

 

Question: Do you have a PA system available for speeches?

Answer: Yes we do have a PA which you can avail of. If you wish to also bring a playlist to be aired during your meal please feel free to do so.

 

Question: Do you allow fireworks?

Answer: We do allow fireworks as long as the company which are providing them have public liability insurance and meet our policy requirements.

 

Question: How many bedrooms have you?

Answer: We have 37 bedrooms here onsite which can hold 74 people minimum. 10 of our bedrooms are twin rooms which means they have 2 Double Beds under a four poster canopy. 

 

Question: Is there additional accommodation close by should I have a large wedding?

Answer: Yes. There are 5 B&B’s within 3 miles of the castle which can accommodate your guests should you have a large number at your wedding.

Answer: Yes. There are 2 local taxis companies based in Kinnitty and their contact details can be received from our hotel reception.
