There is drama, there is history, there is elegance and there is theatre. All of these blend seamlessly in and around Kinnitty Castle Hotel, which is situated close to the picture-perfect village of Kinnitty, County Offaly.

Set against a backdrop of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, the Gothic Revival castle is in Ireland’s only designated ‘Environment Park’, sitting centre stage in an impressive 650 acres of rural parkland – including 60 acres of gardens, unspoiled forests and rustic walks.

The Castle has a long and turbulent histroy. Dating from 1209 the Castle was destroyed and reebuilt not once but twice and yet it retains character and oozes charm. The Castle even has has its own ghost- a monk no less!

Kinnitty Castle Hotel is only 90 minutes from Dublin, and is an ideal resting point for potential journeys west or southwards. An exceptional place for lovers of excellent food and the call of the wild, it has a unique character that can suitably be described as ‘Olde Worlde’.
